ADMISSIONS

Any family legally homeschooling in NC may participate, but parents must understand that all courses will be conducted on the basis of a system of Christian doctrine as set forth in our doctrinal statement. Instructors may give an entrance examination to prospective participants to determine if the student is sufficiently trained to meet any pre-requisites.  These will be outlined in the course description.

POLICIES

Attendance
Parents should notify the instructor when a participant will be absent. If possible, make arrangements for homework, research papers or tests. Participants are responsible to obtain copies of course notes from their classmates. Assignments are due without regard for absences.

Inclement Weather

Closings and delays will be posted on WRAL-5, wral.com, and newlifecamp.com.

Homework
Activities will involve home study assignments. Session time will focus on lecture, example problems and questions. Science activities will focus on lab work. Participants are home schooled. Parents are expected to treat the assigned work just as they do for assignments they create at home.

Discipline
Our instructors require proper and respectful behavior from each participant. Instructors will communicate their particular activity expectations.

Assessment
The instructors will provide evaluations directly to each parent. Instructors will return all assignments.  Assessments are only designed to be a guide. Parents are responsible to review the work and issue a permanent grade for their child.

Study Hall
Participants who are at camp must either be in an activity or in the study hall. The study hall is on an honor system and all participants must sign in and out.  There is no charge for study hall, but parents of students signed up for a study hall will share monitoring duties for the year.  After registration, we will provide a schedule for signing up as well as what your commitment would be.  You do not have to monitor during the same hour that your student is in the study hall.
